If you work in town, getting your hair done can feel like one more thing on the list. The good news is that a CBD salon can be easier to fit in than you'd think, if you plan it well.
We're tucked away on Cross Street in the Auckland CBD, which makes us a short walk for plenty of people in the city.
Know what you're booking
Different services take very different amounts of time:
A trim or cut is usually the quickest.
A blow dry is a good option if you need to look polished fast.
A toner or gloss is a shorter colour appointment.
Foils, balayage or a colour change take longer and are best booked when you're not rushing.
Check the services page and the booking page for what's involved, and ask us if you're not sure how long something will take.
Tips for booking around your workday
Book early or late. First appointments of the day and late afternoons are often easiest, with no mid-day rush back to the office.
Plan for your longer services. If you're having colour, book a day when you don't have back-to-back meetings.
Tell us how long you've got. If you've got 45 minutes on your lunch break, say so when you book. We'll tell you straight away what's realistic.
Book ahead. Regular clients tend to rebook before they leave, which means the best times go quickly.
Take the thinking out of it
Here's how to make your appointment easier:
Bring a photo or two of what you like. It saves time in the consultation.
Tell us about your hair history. Recent colour, box dye, or treatments all change what's possible.
Say how you style your hair. If you're wearing it tied up four days a week, we'll cut for that.
Be honest about how much time you spend on it. If it's five minutes, we'll design it for five minutes.
Rebook before you go
The best way to stop hair appointments being a hassle is to book your next one before you leave. Most people need a cut every six to eight weeks (see how often should you get a haircut), so rebooking on the way out means it's already in your calendar.
